KITE PROGRAM

What is K.I.T.E.? (Kids Instructed Through Enrichment)
It is a program that was designed to offer enrichment to students who excel in the regular classroom. It is currently offered in second through fifth grade. This program was designed to meet the needs and interest of students attending the program. The curriculum includes the development of critical thinking skills, problem solving, planning, investigating and implementing projects that utilize the child's creativity and originality. The lesson plans are created based on Bloom's Taxonomy of Higher Level Thinking Skills. Students who qualify for the KITE program leave their homeroom for 90 minutes a week to attend KITE classes.
The KITE program is made possible by the time, talent, and effort of volunteer teachers and supporters. It is funded through donations and KITE fund raising.
