Senior Saints Christmas Event – Dec. 6

Please join us on Wednesday, December 6th , 2023 for our Christmas Senior Saints Event featuring Scott Kennebeck, Tenor section lead for the Cathedral Choir and Cantor for the Cathedral Parish. Scott will be accompanied by renowned St. Louis organist John Powel Walsh.

Of course, our crew of chefs will be preparing a wonderful dinner.  Only $15 payable at the door at the Parish Hall.  6:00PM – 9:00PM, Doors open at 5:30PM.  Don’t miss this holiday special!

St. Joseph Parish Coat Drive

As the weather turns colder your Catholic Charities Parish Ambassadors are asking for donations of new or gently used coats for men and women in various sizes to keep clients warm this winter. The donations will be given to two agencies: St. Patrick Center, which provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and Saint Francis Community Services, which helps people overcome poverty and work toward a better life. Volunteers Needed for Missal Change

Opportunity for church service hours! Adults & children needed. If you have a hand truck, dolly, or wagon, please bring it to haul the old books for recycling. This job will take one hour or less if we have enough people.
Monday, Nov. 27th at 6:30 p.m. in the church.

SVPD Turkey Collection

Bring a turkey to help our neighbors in need! Bring your turkeys to the gathering area and place them in the grocery cart on the weekends of Nov. 11 & 12 and Nov. 18 & 19. Your donations will go to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, who helps our neighbors in need.

2023 Mass of Remembrance

Register Name(s) and Purchase Candle

You are invited to participate in the Mass & Candle Lighting Ceremony on All Souls Day, Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 7:00 PM to honor loved ones who have died.

  • You may request a candle for each individual person you want to be remembered

**If there are 5 or more family members with the same last name you’d like to have remembered, we encourage submitting them under 1 surname** (ex. The Smith Family)

  • You may request just one candle for all deceased members in a family by using the surname of the family
  • You may choose not to purchase a candle, but have a person or family remembered

Name to be remembered with Candle = $3

Name to be remembered without Candle = Free

You may take the candle(s) home with you as a remembrance. Please fill out the registration no later than Thursday, October 19th. All names submitted by October 19th will appear in the Mass of Remembrance program. Any names submitted after October 19th will be read at Mass, but WILL NOT appear in the program. A gathering with refreshments will immediately follow the Mass.

This is a 21 and older event but everyone is welcome to Mass.


Our dinner event needs volunteers!
We will need help setting up the hall, we need greeters for Mass, and we will need help for dinner (in the kitchen and runners) and cleaning up. Please view volunteer opportunities.

RCIA is beginning with an Introductory Night on Tuesday, Sept. 12th at 7:00 PM in front of church.

Classes will continue on Tuesday nights, led by Fr. Maes & the RCIA team.

Attention Parents of Children (over 7) who are not Baptized

NOTICE to Parents of Children (greater than 7 years of age) Who are not Baptized Catholic OR Who Are Baptized But Have Not Received the Sacraments of First Communion / Confirmation

Dear Parents,

If your child(ren) have not been Baptized or have not received First Sacraments please take heart !    We understand that sometimes circumstances may have occurred and your children did not receive the Sacraments of Initiation.  Saint Joseph Religious Education   Program has special classes for these children to prepare them for Reception of the Sacraments †

We Welcome Children beyond the age of reason (7 years old)  who have NOT been Baptized to attend the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) classes for preparation of Baptism, Communion & Confirmation, which they will  then receive at Mass on April 2024.

Likewise, We Welcome Children who are validly Baptized in another Christian tradition (that is recognized by the Catholic Church) to attend the RCIC class, and who will be prepared to make a Profession of Faith and receive Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Communion also on April 2024.

Lastly, We Welcome Children beyond the age of reason (7 years old) who have been baptized Catholic but not yet received the Sacraments of First Reconciliation/First Communion to attend the RCIC classes & prepare for Reception of these Sacraments on April 2024.

Fr. Deters Mass and Reception

Sunday, June 25th, Fr. Josh Deters will be presiding at the 12:15 p.m. Mass.
This will be his First Mass in the parish. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall after the Mass.
This Mass and reception will be serving a dual purpose. We congratulate Fr. Deters, who is from our parish,
on his ordination to the Priesthood and also welcome him to our parish as our new associate pastor. His assignment to our parish begins July 1st.
