Cub Scouts are boys from the Kindergarten to fifth grades. A boy may join at any level. Each noncompetitive level has adventures to develop the boy at that level. Kindergarteners (Lion Scouts) and first graders (Tiger Cubs) meet weekly with their parents. From second to fifth grade, the Cub Scouts meet weekly with their den, which includes scouts and their leader.

These Cub Scouts progress from Wolf to Bear to Webelos and finally to Arrow of Light ranks as they prepare for Scouts BSA. Monthly pack meetings are held, which includes other dens and parents.
