Safe Environment Requirements

The Archdiocese’s Safe Environment Program requires all Archdiocesan clergy, religious order clergy, adult employees and volunteers who work with or near minors and/or vulnerable adults to comply with the following policy requirements.

Prevent and Protect is for individuals who are 18 and older and have graduated high school.  If you are under 18 and have not graduated high school, please complete and return the minor code of conduct form.

  1. Register for Prevent and Protect. Registration Instructions.
  2. Attend a Prevent & Protect STL live workshop (in-person or vitual w/zoom), and complete online updates every three years.
  3. Understand and sign the Archdiocese’s Code of Ethical Conduct for Clergy, Employees, and Volunteers Working in Ministry.
  4. View two online training modules regarding abuse reporting and relevant topics from the Code of Ethical Conduct.
  5. Complete a national criminal record check and agree to regular updates.
